A performance response to Robert Yeo’s One Year Back Home, What Matters flashes forward to a potential future where daughter of main character Ang Siew Hua, Lisa Ang, enters the political world. As a single woman in her 50s of mixed parentage, the play documents Lisa’s rise to prominence alongside the reactions of different cross-sections of the public.
